Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

This is a dry, more medium-bodied merlot that is full of plum and spicy flavours. It's all supported by a good lick of mocha oak, fine tannins, and a soft, toasty finish. Ideal for that family Italian night at home.

Winemaker's Notes

A small parcel of my best Shiraz fruit was aged separately in new French Oak barrels to complement this full bodied Barossa variety. This rich, ripe shiraz has fruit flavours reminiscent of pepper and blackcurrant balanced with toasty new oak.

Nicely structured wine with a lovely colour and showing a good weight of spicy, stalky fruit wrapped in sweet tannins. Very flavoursome style.

Smells of cinnamon, chocolate and cloves; tastes of sweet plums with a spicy edge. Great balance between oak, fruit and tannins.
