Rob Geddes MW (2011 Vintage) says
The ability to age and transform into something quite different yet familiar is the mark of great wine and these have it. These wines have had a Loire-like complexity until the off dry 2010 which marks a departure to the style towards Bordeaux. In 2011 all primary vegetal aromas and great length of boiled lemon citrus with a round texture and long flavour. Good food wine.

Glowing pale green-gold; a very rich and concentrated sauvignon blanc, its layers of tropical fruit achieved at a modest alcohol level thanks to the small berries of fully matured dry-grown vines; citrussy acidity appears on the finish to provide balance. There is no other Tasmanian sauvignon blanc remotely like this.

Rather overt, it's luscious and oily, with a faintly candied bouquet of passionfruit, tropical fruits and vanilla oak with undertones of lychees and herbal notes. Smooth and juicy, it's forward, rather syrupy length of fruit and toasty oak finishes with a lingering impression of sweetness.

Taut and sculpted, with afresh, penetrative mineral perfume of gooseberries, citrus and melon backed by white flowers and lightly herbaceous, sherbet-like undertones with a slightly butyric aspect. Luscious and juicy, its concentrated palate of pristine fruit is long, finely crafted and mineral, with a lingering presence of fruit wrapped by lemony acids.

A ripe lemon bouquet, with a complex mineral character; subde flavours with good drive, and chalky acidity on the finish; a complex and fine wine.

Complex texture and structure; herb and grass, with touches of gooseberry and lychee; a rich back-palate.

Powerful structure and body, but does carry its alcohol well; predominantly mineral, with some citrus and herb; balanced finish, will age quite well.

A very herbaceous sauvignon blanc whose lightly sweaty aromas of gooseberries, melon reveal chalky undertones. Round and generous, with a tangy, slippery and full- flavoured palate of gooseberry and passionfruit flavour, it finishes very dry and mineral, with clean acids.

Jeremy Oliver (2003 Vintage) says
Pungent asparagus and tinned pineapple aromas of lemony, tropical and citrus fruit, with lightly sweaty nuances of apricots. Dry and savoury, rather. Loire Valley-like in its shape and austerity its creamy middle palate is intensely flavoured, nutty and smoky, just finishing without the real raciness it might have deserved.

Very complex and highly aromatic mix of passionfruit and tropical fruit; long palate and finish.
