Domaine Chandon Heathcote Shiraz

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Heathcote is doing some amazingly good things with shiraz. Fleshy berries and dark cherries adorn the nose, along with some Indian spices and cedar in the mix. The palate is quite rich and medium to fuller-bodied, with deep spiced plum flavours, fine-grained tannins, and a long, sumptuous finish. Decant it and have with roast meats tonight, or whack it in the cellar for a couple of years and enjoy over time.

Jeremy Oliver says
Lightly spicy, peppery aromas of bright red and black berries and restrained cedar/vanilla oak are backed by musky, floral notes. Medium in weight, it's handsomely oaked and backed by fine, pliant tannins but remains rather short and sappy, lacking genuine conviction and ripeness.
