Wine Companion (2010 Vintage) says
Beaujolais, France (Gamay Noir) The different Cru of Beaujolais express vastly different characters and often due to its name, Fleurie is considered the fragrant and forward Cru of the region. Sometimes this is true, but certainly not in this case. Sourced from an 80-year-old plot in a lieu-dit called ‘Moriers’ that abuts Moulin-a-Vent, this densely structured, savoury and mineral-driven example would put many wines of the Cote de Nuits to shame with its intensity. Full of energy, sappy tannins and built for the long haul, yet like many great wines is delicious today.
