This grenache from the Southern Rhone Valley is a little bit special. It comes from octogenarian vines, so it is quite worldly. The nose shows spiced plum and dried herbs characters on the nose, whilst the palate is plush and fruity with sultry tannins and a dry finish. It's a pearler of a grenache, and would match well with rich meaty dishes.
100% Grenache from ancient 80 Year Old Vines. This wine is aged in 1-3 year old barriques for 15 months.
Good garnet colour. Lifted spice and plum aromas, great old vine herbal notes and concentration. Complex, lush fruit on the palate and nice round supple tannins on the finish. Amazing Grenache!
