Domaine Fevre Chablis
Domaine Fevre have been the kings of Chablis for decades. They blazed a trail for the Chablis style years ago, and are still at the forefront now. There is way less oak in their wines these days, and this one looks pretty much devoid of it! It's a light, bright, zesty and minerally number that shows lots of lemons and grapefruits on the nose, intermingled with green apples and honeysuckle florals. The palate is brisk and citrusy, with an appealing chalky texture, and a dry, steely finish. Time to break out the oysters!
An attractive bright yellow with A seemingly slight green tinge. The nose contains light pretty floral notes. The palate proudly displays the classic characteristics of great Chablis, being crisp - almost flinty - with generous helpings of minerality combined with lashings of fresh grippy acidity. The body of the wine displays light structural fruit tannins alongside citrus notes and a touch of marmalade zest. Harmonious and balanced – to be served chilled with a dozen Sydney Rock oysters.
