Cracka Review

Here's a ripe, musclebound beasty from Tardieu Laurent that is looking for a table of big red lovers and a juicy steak for company. It's basically a GSM (grenache, shiraz, mourvedre) blend, and shows plush, ripe smells of raspberries, dark cherries, pepper spice, blueberries, dried herbs and leather boots on the nose. Meanwhile, the palate is big and ballsy but not alcohol hot, with dense fruit flavours, licks of savouriness, a solid line of fine tannins, and a tight finish. This will live for a few more years in the cellar.

Winemaker's Notes

Built on a striking expression of fruit and Garrigue. The mouth is all softness, glittering with delicate shades and subtleties…

Maison Tardeau Awards & Accolades

"…captivating, with fig and hoisin sauce aromas and flavors backed by a riveting graphite note… black tea, licorice snap and perfumy edge of the appellation all lingering through the velvety, lengthy finish" 94 Points - Wine Spectator

"It’s full bodied, and as they like to say ‘hedonistic’, with a slurpable slippery texture… and firm, slightly sandy, tannins. It’s a lusty wine that Grenache fanciers should find pretty hard to resist. Loved it." 94 Points - Gary Walsh, www.winefront.com.au
