Dusky Sounds Pinot Gris

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Dusky Sounds are a Kiwi winery making all the right noises with their crisp, aromatic whites. If there’s going to be another breakthrough grape from New Zealand then we’ve got our eyes firmly set on Pinot Gris. This is firmly built around the European mould offering a textural style of wine that’s great with food. It’s perfumed with stonefruit, has a nicely intense fruit palate, good balance and a clean acid finish and a lingering spiciness.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Straw yellow.

Nose: Lifted notes of lemon peel, ginger and feijoa.

Palate: The ripe fruit flavours of stone fruit and feijoa lead to a soft mid palate. The finish lingers with a touch of acidity and sweet spice.
