Dutschke Single Barrel Shiraz

Cracka Review

At the time of bottling this wine was generous in ripe plum and chocolate flavours. Spice and coffee like characters from the oak compliment the fruit beautifully. Decant before enjoying with good friends.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Perfectly proves the other side of the coin, although Wayne Dutschke (along with Robert Parker) does not agree, for this was his choice of the best barrel in the winery from 2006. For my taste, the alcohol and fruit ripeness are just too much, however much one must acknowledge the depth of flavour.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
A strong, generously built wine, with opulent and velvety blackberry and plum fruit; hints of licorice, oak and tannins seamlessly woven together.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Layer-upon-layer of rich flavours of blackberry, satsuma plum, licorice and spice; has more or less absorbed the oak in which it spent 24 months; unfined and unfiltered.

James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
The wine is distinctly different from the other '03 reds; highly aromatic and spicy; vibrant fruit, luscious but not jammy, has absorbed the new French oak; long finish.
