James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Deep crimson; highly spiced and red-fruited on the bouquet, showing glimpses of pepper, licorice, sage and game; the palate is silky and fine, medium-bodied and extremely long and layered; this is the epitome of sophisticated cool-climate shiraz; a sophistication that may not be to everyone's taste.

Rob Geddes MW (2010 Vintage) says
An upbeat red, bright fruit aromas with an enticing complexity of black berry, hard licorice and plum with black pepper in the back ground. Plenty of ripe fruit, deep silky, tannins and good drive on the medium bodied palate with minerally savoury edge to the very velvety tannins mouth feel.
