James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
If the weight of the bottle is a guide, then this is worth its price; undoubtedly complex, vibrant and pure, with many layers of its personality opening slowly; the lodestone is the thrust and harmony on the finish, but it will be up to the consumer to judge the price.

Nick Stock (2006 Vintage) says
There's no question of the quality of this wine and the winemaker behind it, Mr Martin Cooper; he has a fine professional pedigree, most notably with McWilliams. But it is a first release and is pitched well into glamour territory at an audacious $220. If you like to back wines in before they become iconic, check into these superbly ripe dark fruits, red berries and freshly sprinkled Eden Valley spices. Tannins sit up in bright lines, taking flavours for the long haul -this has all the makings of a bright new star. STOP PRESS: Cooper has moved on following the 2008 vintage.
