Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
A 60/40% blend fermented in stainless steel, and early bottled to (successfully) retain maximum fruit expression and freshness. Whether the Clare Valley is a hospitable environment for the blend is an open question, but the wine has done well in this instance; it is bright, with vibrant, citrussy fruit.

A very ripe wine, seemingly higher in alcohol than it in fact is; the flavours ample, but broad.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; a clean and fresh bouquet with herb and mineral aromas is followed by a lively, clean and fresh palate, finishing with nice acidity. The Semillon leads the way, but continues the surprising style and quality of this 60/40 blend.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; a clean, fresh, firm bouquet with the Semillon dominant leads into a tangy, strongly lemony, lively palate with masses of character and flavour, yet not at all heavy. Good length and a real surprise packet. Great value.
