Elephant Hill Hawke's Bay Syrah

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The 2009 vintage is a delicious drink-young style. Hand-picked and matured for 11 months in French oak casks (30 per cent new), it is deeply coloured, with a floral, spicy bouquet, concentrated plum, pepper and spice flavours, showing good complexity, and very supple, ripe tannins. It has great drink-young appeal, but should also age gracefully.

Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
Grown near the coast, at Te Awanga, the 2008 vintage is deeply coloured, with an inviting, lifted spicy fragrance. It has strong plum, black-pepper and herb flavours, vibrant and supple, with a subtle oak influence and good length.
