Grown at Te Awanga, the 2008 vintage was blended with Viognier (1 per cent) and matured for 15 months in French oak casks (100 per cent new). Deeply coloured, it is full-bodied and generous, with concentrated plum and pepper flavours, some herbal and jammy notes, and a rounded finish.

Grown at Te Awanga, the 2007 vintage is a robust, dark red with concentrated flavours of red berries, spices and tar, slightly leafy notes and firm tannins. It shows a slight lack of ripeness and roundness, but is an impressively rich wine, showing considerable complexity.
