Evans & Tate Margaret River Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Built in the classic Margaret River style, this has that top combination of both varietal intensity and Semillon texture making for a wine that is dry yet rich, long yet snappy and fresh. It's a sneakily complete wine actually, showing that E & T are more than just 'Classic Dry White' makers.

Winemaker's Notes

Alluring lush vineyards line Metricup Road as it makes its way through the heart of Margaret River. A refreshingly famous WA blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc showing lively nectarine and custard apple flavours complemented by a crisp citrus finish.

Appearance: Very pale straw with a vibrant green edge.

Nose: Displaying stone fruit and fig flavours with subtle garden herbs. Also showing a slight hint of the French oak and toasty aroma’s on the nose.

Palate: Showing upfront fruit of lemongrass and nectarine with fresh fig that builds all the characters of a classy Semillon Sauvignon Blanc from Margaret River. Wild ferment in French oak and time on yeast lees has imparted complexity, texture and richness to the mid palate and given it a long, seamless nature. A wine that will age but best drunk in its youth whilst fresh and vibrant.

Cellaring: The wine provide excellent flavour right now but has the ability to age for 5 years.
