It's a pretty famous road is Metricup, with such wineries as Moss Wood, Fermoy, Fraser Gallop and Sandalford calling it home. It's no surprise then to see Evans & Tate trumpeting that the grapes for this wine comes from such a famous road (real estate agents would be proud) .
Suitably, this is a seriously good Margaret River Cabernet, the sort of firm, long and stylish wine that looks really bloody tasty. It will only get better in the bottle too. Such an impressive wine this one!
Appearance: Dense purple red with a vibrant purple rim.
Nose: Shows intense regional expression and purity -fresh blackberry, redcurrant and bay leaf with lovely ripe mulberry notes and a lift of violets. Well seasoned oak aromas of cedar and fresh toast add lovely interest and complexity.
Palate: A seamless palate with endless length of flavor –medium bodied in style typical of Bordeaux blends out of the region but with driving flavour and a vibrant refreshing palate and tight tannin kick critical to our Cabernet driven style.
Cellaring: While the wine is drinking very well now it will continue to develop for the next six years.
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec.
