Who would of guessed that this wine was produced from Evans & Tate's Metricup Road vineyard? Mighty fine Chardonnay it is too, carrying a careful balance between fruit generosity and fantastic acidity, making for one super refined modern Chardonnay.

Winemaker's Notes

Metricup Road runs through the heart of Margaret River and since 1974, the lush vineyards of Evans & Tate have lined their way along Metricup Road as you travel through the region. The new 2014 vintage Chardonnay introduces a new look to our award-winning range of wines.

Appearance: Bright & brilliant –pale green rim.

Nose: Citrus, melon and nectarine fruits overlayed with subtle notes of dried herbs, freshly toasted spices and tropical fruit notes from wild barrel fermentation on solids.

Palate: Bright, fresh and long with lovely flavor intensity. Subtle textural and savoury elements from wild fermentation on solids adds complexity and the stamp of house style.

Cellaring: This wine is drinking well now but careful cellaring until 2017+ will be rewarded.

Alcohol: 13%
