Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
The 2010 vintage is a complex style, grown in a single, elevated vineyard on the south side of the Wairau Valley, barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts and French oak-matured for 10 months. Weighty and concentrated, it is sweet-fruited, with an array of rich, citrusy, peachy, nettley flavours, a gentle seasoning of oak, and excellent harmony and complexity. Best drinking mid-2012+.

Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
The 2008 vintage is a complex style, barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts and French oak-matured for 10 months. Mouthfilling, it is sweet-fruited, with strong, ripe tropical-fruit flavours, a distinct suggestion of toasty oak, and lively acidity. Best drinking 2010—11.
