Michael Cooper (2006 Vintage) says
The 2006 vintage was grown at Gladstone, in the Wairarapa, and handled entirely in tanks. It's an easy-drinking, well-rounded wine, but shows a slight lack of freshness and vibrancy.

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
This Waipara red is one of Canterbury's greatest Pinot Noirs, typically very rich in body and flavour. Matured for 18 months in French oak barriques (30 per cent new) and bottled unfiltered, the 2001 vintage is deep and youthful in colour. Crammed with fruit and potentially very complex, it is concentrated and smooth, with substantial body (14 per cent alcohol), deep cherry, plum and spice flavours and fine, supple tannins. It's still very youthful; open mid-2004+.

Michael Cooper (1998 Vintage) says
This Wairarapa wine is grown at Gladstone, between Masterton and Martinborough. The pale 1998 vintage is crisp and gently herbaceous, but lacks real fragrance and flavour richness. I preferred the fresh, full, passionfruit and lime-like 1997
