Familia Schroeder Saurus Barrel Fermented Pinot Noir

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Pinot Noir from Argentina isn’t something we see over here much, and this one is certainly a departure from the usual pinot noir style. There are smells of red fruits, mocha and cola on the nose, whilst the palate is medium to fuller-bodied, with generous licks of toasty oak, bright acidity, a sweet fruit middle, friendly tannins, and a mocha finish. It a butch style that calls for a slice of beef for company.

Winemaker's Notes

Features red hues and bright. On the nose aromas of fruit - red currants, raspberries and strawberries. By its fermentation in oak barrels, are perceived notes of vanilla and cacao. The palate is very fruity, with sweet tannins and good acidity.
