Familia Schroeder Saurus Select Pinot Noir

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

This is almost a lighter version of pinot noir compared to the 'Barrel Fermented' style, but it has still seen a bit of oak. Ripe red berries and cherries rise from the glass, along with chocolate and coffee notes. The palate is more medium-bodied, with starwberry and vanilla flavours, licks of light toast, mellow tannins, and a soft finish. Just the thing with a rich, tomatoey spag bog.

Winemaker's Notes

On the nose are violet and pink flowers, red fruits like raspberries, currants and strawberries, also aromas of yeast and minerals, accompanied with notes of vanilla and cocoa provided by the oak. The palate is round, fruity with soft tannins, medium body and moderate acidity.
