Inky nose and big, spicy, rich fruit palate that has weight and good tannin levels and has retained its freshness.

Developed, oaky nose and well-structured, simple, lightweight palate.

Holding hue very well; the bouquet has that particular berry and plum fruit which is the hallmark of the region, and flows through to the medium-bodied palate; I far prefer alcohol at this level, and fail to see why another 1% alc/vol is needed.

Beautifully developed wine ready for drinking now. Nose bright with spice. Flavours of plum pudding.

Strong colour for age; does reflect its alcohol, but there is an abundance of ripe black fruits, plum and mocha; one of the least readable labels of all time, black on dark blackish-blue, breaking all the rules of label design.

Old-fashioned style with oak dominating the nose and lashings of opulent berry fruit filling the solid palate. _Probably pricey,î thought one judge, tasting blind!
