Farnese Montepulciano D’Abruzzo Colline Teramane

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

This offering from Farnese is made for easy, medium-term drinking, especially if you are eating a nice tomatoey lasagne. There's some appealing choc-coated red fruits, not unlike a 'Cherry Ripe', on the nose, along with hints of earthy spices. The palate is medium to fuller-bodied, with more chocolate, red fruits and earthiness, friendly tannins, and a juicy, smooth finish.

Winemaker's Notes

Wine made for young drinkers, with enough experience, that are seeking good value for money.

Red ruby with garnet highlights. Intense and persistent, a spicy aroma with hints of chocolate and tar but never to excel its copious fruit. Good structure, good tannins and well-balanced.

Best served with pasta with meat sauce, roast and stewed meat, game and aged cheese.

This is an unpretentious, light-bodied red with plummy, red cherry fruit that makes for easy drinking.
