James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Bright, clear crimson-purple; red and black fruits course through the bouquet and elegant, fresh, medium-bodied palate, the alcohol seeming lower than it is; blackberry and plum are interwoven with spice, pepper and fine, gently savoury tannins. Has impeccable balance and length.

Ray Jordan (2009 Vintage) says
Opens with a savoury and peppery aroma that rocks through the dark fruit and vanillin oak characters., The palate is warm and medium to full bodied with firmish fine tannin and plenty of sweet balancing oak. Quite a dry food friendly finish.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Excellent crimson-purple; typical cool-grown medium-bodied shiraz of very good quality; spice, plum, blackberry and a touch of licorice, with ultrafine tannins. Frankland River. Gold medal Mt Barker Wine Awards '09.
Australian Wine Companion 2011 2010
Ray Jordan (2008 Vintage) says
The rich succulent flesh of Frankland Shiraz is well to the fore in this excellent medium to full bodied Shiraz. Lots o savoury ripe plum, mocha chocolate and lifted spice on the nose. Deep and softly generous palate with great balance of fine tannins and understated oak.
