James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
Strong red-purple; estate-grown from 25-year-old vines; has exemplary varietal expression, cassis foremost, black olive/earth as a counterpoint; the tannins are firm but balanced.

Subtle and savoury with leafy black fruit meat stock savoury. The palate is long and savoury and detailed, just medium bodied with balanced fruit concentratation and weight but finishes is mouth pulling tannins in 2013 with smokey oak. Needs to be kept till 2016

Good hue; in the mainstream of the elegant Fermoy style, 25-year-old estate vines producing perfectly ripened cabernet, with blackcurrant, cedar and cigar box all intermingling, supported by exemplary tannins and French oak.

Margaret River's refinement is well understood here, bright blackberry/ briary aromas, medium body, great balance of chewy tannins with great length of flavour.

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2007 Vintage) says
Strongly regional with classic Margaret River flavours of bay leaf, chocolate, mulberry and good oak. It's medium-bodied with cherry and redcurrant flavours, fine-grained tannins and good through the finish. It's not a big wine but it's lovely to drink and makes a very positive statement as to what Margaret River cabernet is all about.

Bright, firm blackcurrant fruit; positive, ripe tannins will underwrite the development, oak in further support.
