Expert Reviews

Ray Jordan (2011 Vintage) says
Love the aromas that greet the first sniff of this excellent chardonnay. Minerally and citrusy with a muted background of roasted cashew. The palate is tightly structured with intense concentration. The balance is superb and the palate length is a strong feature. A wine with a future.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; the bouquet is fresh and lively, fruit-driven, leading into a palate that opens with restraint before accelerating through the mid-palate and onto the finish and aftertaste; the flavours are predominantly in the grapefruit and mineral spectrum, acidity more important in providing structure than the French oak in which the wine was fermented.
James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; a restrained yet solid bouquet; moderately intense, but not fruity, leads on to a structured wine with pronounced secondary creamy/nutty flavours. There is a slightly bitter grip to the finish, and at no time is the wine lush in its impact.
