Fire Block Clare Valley Old Vine Grenache

Cracka Review

The altitude of Watervale enables the Grenache vines to give a large spectrum of flavours to the fruit. This is a pretty wine. It has body and length, and lovely high notes which are rarely found in the wines from the Barossa or McLaren Vale.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
A mix of sweet fruit and warm, multi flavoured spices; you can walk by the prodigious alcohol without going up in flames, but don't delay drinking it; dry-grown vines planted in 1926.

Typical Clare Valley grenache, relatively light-bodied, with juicy, jammy varietal fruit.
