Firebox Ridge Tempranillo

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

A rich and rather savoury sort of wine this one, showing that lovely choc berry mid palate that Tempranillo is known for. Arguably a slightly simple wine perhaps, it packs a whole lot of flavour into that 750ml bottle.

Winemaker's Notes

This intriguing wine exudes a bouquet of ‘forest floor”, lifted spice and just a hint of high quality vanillin oak which is well restrained. The palate is surprisingly full flavoured and complex again showing a modern, bright, Australian approach to this age old European variety. The benefits of utilising high quality oak to enhance the overall experience is obvious. The wine shows characters of wild berries, some white pepper, balanced acidity and a long and pleasing finish.

Firebox Ridge VS Tempranillo will marry with a broad range of cuisine and will complement many styles of lighter and even full flavoured dishes.
