Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Medium purple-crimson; from dry-grown vines up to 83 years old, matured in 25% new French oak for 24 months, and neither fined nor filtered. It is joyously full-bodied, with a tsunami of black fruits and ripe tannins. 120 dozen made.

Andrew Graham (2008 Vintage) says
Ripe. Chunky ripe. Concentrated sweet fruit ripe, with a real plum essence character to the nose, if edged with that hard, quasi vegetal edge of the vintage. The palate follows with a massive flow of juicy, grape-sugar-sweet, boysenberry fruit, the ripeness all around the mid palate mark and tailing away through the finish. It's soft, round and utterly un-tannic, fitting the fruit bomb profile of late 90s South Australian reds without the excesses.
Nick Stock (2008 Vintage) says
A single-site, old-vine shiraz that delivers a distinctive ripe and bright nose of red plum, cassis and a chalky, savoury edge. The palate s built on smooth tannin, with a bright-red berry and cassis thread of flavour; really even and impressively concentrated wine. There were 95 dozen made.

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Winemaking in Lilliput, as only 70 dozen were made; has the hallmark Eden Valley elegance, the spicy red and black cherry fruit having a silky texture and mouthfeel, and a long, balanced finish.
Australian Wine Companion 2011 2010
James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Has the fresh underlying acidity of the Eden Valley, which supports the medium-bodied, bright red and black fruits; fine-grained tannins also add; 60 dozen made.
