Floating Mountain Mark Rattray Vineyard Waipara Chardonnay

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
Mark Rattray's Chardonnays are typically powerful and lush. Delicious now, the 2001 is a bold, upfront style, rich, smooth and full of character, with mouthfilling body, ripe, peachy flavours and plenty of toasty oak. Barrel-matured for 10 months, the more slowly evolving 2002 vintage is a higher-acid style, weighty (14.5 per cent alcohol!, with good depth of fresh, ripe, citrusy fruit flavours and a fractionally off-dry, crisp finish.
