Fontanafredda Briccotondo Barbera
There are so many wines that are worth matching with Italian Cuisine but why not go the whole way and pair this fresh and fruity style with home made pizza and take it to the next level. This is authentic as you can get, showing Barbera’s core of plum and cherry fruit underpinned by savoury notes of leather and pepper. The fruit is clean and fresh with jaunty acids and soft tannins that make it such an obvious choice for food.
Peppery, black fruit, violet, leather and some vanilla oak. A nippy little fellow with bright fruit like strawberry and cherry jam with coffee and tobacco flavours too. Tannins are dry and food friendly and there’s a crisp acid nip on the finish.
