Forester Estate Georgette Sparkling Rose

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

If you wanted to kick off an evening with an extravagant sparkle then this bubbly from Forester Estate has your next soiree written all over it. It’s creamy and crisp with just the right amount of complexity you crave in a sparkling wine. It blushes off pink in the glass, with strawberry and yeast aromas as well as elements of spice. The palate delivers finesse and fineness in equal measure with strawberry fruit and refreshing acids.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Salmon pink in appearance.

Nose: A complex and delicate bouquet with lifted strawberry, cranberry, red berry, apple, hay, light spice, and fragrant dried flowers. There are also complex autolysis characters of bread and pie crust.

Palate: Dry, light and firm with balanced citrus like acidity, leading to a long and focused palate with creamy texture. The strawberry and cherry fruit characters are balanced by richer yeast autolysis characters of bread and pie crust. This firm and refreshing wine has a long, dry finish.

Food: Ideal as a match with aperitifs, vintage cheddar on crusty bread or lightly flavoured poultry.

Cellaring: Most enjoyable upon release however will develop more savoury complexity with a further 3 to 5 years.

Alcohol: 12.5%

Grape Variety: 80% Malbec, 20% Chardonnay

Smells of strawberries with floral notes behind. Tight and lean in the mouth. A simple wine.
