Cracka Review

A snappy and vital Sauvignon Blanc in the crisp and open style that just sings out 'I'm from New Zealand'.

Winemaker's Notes

The wine is grown from seven distinctly different sites within Marlborough, during vintage grapes sat part harvested on few or more occasions to maximise the flavour, acid and textured profiles we have to choose from when the final blend was assembled.

Perfect expression of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of lemon zest, grapefruit, elderflower and passionfruit. A balanced well integrated wine with a juicy mouth feel. On the palate; ripe tropical flavours with guava and passionfruit, lively minerality with a crisp finish.

Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
The Forrest sauvignon has a lovely minerally edge on the nose: grapefruit and lemon/lime citrus here, some tropicals too. The palate's taut and savoury, really smoothly worked into shape, gently nourished and set to travel a straight course to drinking pleasure.

WINESTATE (2008 Vintage) says
Interesting lifted tropical aromas and a sound palate that has satisfying rich, sweet tropical flavours with a herbal background.

WINESTATE (2007 Vintage) says
Aromas of gooseberries with just a hint of lemon, followed by layers of hay-like flavours intermingled with minerally acidity. Quite grippy on the finish.
