Framingham F' Series Auslese Riesling

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The 2009 vintage was harvested early at 19 brix, with a 30-40 per cent botrytis infection, to protect the rest of the crop during a spell of bad weather. The grapes were initially discarded on the ground, but then salvaged and made into wine. Fermented in an even split of tanks and old oak casks, it's light (7.5 per cent alcohol) and sweet (140 grams/litre of residual sugar), with a honeyed bouquet, firm acid spine, and intense, lemony, slightly honeyed flavours, showing a hint of sherbet. Drink now or cellar.
