Framingham F Series Old Vine Riesling

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
From estate vines planted at Renwick, in Marlborough, 30 years ago, the 2009 was hand-picked and fermented with indigenous yeasts, mostly in tanks; 20 per cent was barrel-fermented. Medium-bodied, it has concentrated grapefruit and lemon flavours, in a dryish style with excellent depth and harmony. The 2010 vintage is unusually complex. Light lemon/green, it is mouthfilling (12.5 per cent alcohol) and slightly sweet (9 grams/litre of residual sugar), with deep citrus-fruit, spice and lime flavours, finely textured and long. Open 2013+.
