Isolation Ridge is the organic vineyard of Frankland Estate. The wine is floral, highly perfumed and also shows lots of citrus, green apples and slight ginger spice. The palate is taut, tight and terrific, with zesty lemon and lime flavours, flinty rapier-like acidity, and a long, sauntering, dry finish. Stick some in the cellar and watch the beauty unfold.

Winemaker's Notes

Consistent with the now well-established Isolation Ridge style this wine reflects both the low-yielding, dry growing conditions experienced in the 2013 vintage as well as the benefits of not being released until 12 months after the vintage. 

Appearance: Pale straw.

Nose: Complex and highly perfumed with alluring lime blossom, kaffir lime and talcum powder notes backed up by spicy, mineral undertones.

Palate: Soft and approachable it fills the palate with intense, tightly interwoven citrus-lemon flavours and vibrant lime-infused acidity complemented by silky-textures. Remarkable power and intensity are balanced by a fragile delicacy and lightness of touch that persists through the long refreshing finish of this distinguished riesling.

Cellaring: The balance of pristine fruit flavours and laser-like acidity result in an exceptional wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared with the confidence it will continue to develop further complexity for many years to come.

Isolation Ridge is Western Australia’s finest riesling, and 2013 is one of its greatest vintages yet, a wine of crystalline purity and scintillating minerality. Breathtakingly pristine aromas of lime drops, lime blossom and granny smith apples introduce a palate of impressive lime and green apple fruit concentration. It’s light on its feet yet confidently poised, framed in achingly delicate structure of fine, mineral mouth feel. The finish lingers long and lively with beautifully fragrant lift.
