James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
A 100% pinot noir blanc de noir, the pale salmon indicating as much. The strawberry fruit is embraced by creamy brioche notes, the acidity perfectly balanced by the dosage. Quality comes easy in Tasmania.
Australian Wine Companion 2013 2012
Nick Stock (2008 Vintage) says
With a slightly pinkish tinge in the glass, this blanc de noirs is a vintage wine that gets a small tickle of older barrel-aged material for early complexity. Smells of dried red-berry fruits, some dry rosepetals and woody spices - fine complexity here. The palate has a wealth of flavour: quite assertive red apple and red-berry flavours, and grilled nuts to close.
The Good Wine Guide 2012
James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Very pale pink, delicate flavours, good balance and length.
Australian Wine Companion 2010 2009
James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Unusual pungent aromas of spiced red fruits; a brisk, bright, penetrating and long palate with considerable pinot influence; bone-dry finish; bottle-fermented.
Australian Wine Companion 2009 2008
James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Faint blush tones; abundant flavour with a pinot noir emphasis; powerful finish.
