Fromm La Strada Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
After 16 vintages, the Fromm winery, renowned for Pinot Noir, finally made its first Sauvignon Blanc in 2008. The excellent 2010 vintage was partly handled in tanks, but 60 per cent of the blend was fermented and matured for nine months in old French oak barrels. Made in a bone-dry style, it's a 'serious' but delicious wine, weighty, with ripe tropical-fruit flavours, a touch of nutty oak adding complexity, impressive delicacy and depth, and a finely balanced, lingering finish. Full-bodied and rich, it's a wine with strong personality.
