Geoff Weaver Lenswood Sauvignon Blanc

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Geoff Weaver’s career in wine is one that dates back to 1972 and he’s been responsible for making some of Australia’s most famous wines. He’s a pioneer of the Adelaide Hills and must have known that one day Sauvignon Blanc from the region would rule supreme. It’s got an intoxicating nose of tropical fruits and gooseberry before a juicy fruit palate, a rich length and a zingy, zesty acid length. Pair it with fresh seafood for a taste sensation.

Winemaker's Notes

One of the Hill’s most respected artisans has crafted a wine that’s a million miles from the variety’s usual Kiwi pungency. Cool climate Lenswood fruit offers a delicate waft of florals, teasing herbal tastes and captivating minerally mouthfeel that drives the palate for ever

Geoff Weaver Lenswood Sauvignon Blanc

Expert Reviews

Tyson Stelzer (2013 Vintage) says
2013 is a particularly approachable vintage for Geoff Weaver’s Sauvignon, an early harvest that has produced an open and accessible style of lovely precision and accurate definition. Cool, high altitude minerality and texture accent a taut palate of fragrant lemon blossom, pink lady apple and pink grapefruit notes.
