James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Light green-yellow; the bouquet is light, bright, fresh and crisp, with a mix of mineral and herb fruit. The palate has the same delicate herb and mineral fruit flavour, and not so much tropical fruit as in other years. For whatever reason, does not appear particularly intense, which runs counter to the usual "Weaver style.

James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says
Light to medium green-yellow; a fragrant mix of gooseberry and passionfruit aromas of absolute purity lead on to a delicate, yet intense, palate. The wine is beautifully balanced, with crisp acidity; not at all flamboyant, and the sort of wine which can easily be overlooked in the show ring.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Light green-yellow; initially firm and crisp with a subliminal hint of matchstick and just a little gooseberry, the bouquet grew and grew with aeration; the palate, too, catches up with you on the second taste, with herb and gooseberry flavours lingering on a long, persistent finish.
