Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
The 2002 vintage grown at Rapaura, was tank-fermented and then matured for nine months in new French oak barriques, with regular lees-stirring, it's an elegant wine, fresh and lively, with grapefruit like fruit characters, finely integrated oak and a crisp finish.

Michael Cooper (1999 Vintage) says
The 1999 vintage is a markedly bolder and softer Marlborough wine than its non-reserve stablemate from 1998 (below). Matured for nine months in one-year-old French oak barriques, it's a rich, smooth, nutty, complex wine with loads of flavour, already showing some interesting minerally characters. A powerful wine, it's well worth keeping to 2002 onwards.
