Cracka Review

Brash, bold and beefy - three great words that describe this full flavoured Barossan red particularly well. Sourced from the old vines of renowned Barossan larrikin - and owner of a great moustache - Rob Gibson, this generous, full flavoured and luscious Barossan red is absolutely bursting with warm Barossan flavours.

Winemaker's Notes

45% Grenache, 33% Shiraz, 20% Merlot, 2% Mourvedre

Nose: Lifted floral aromas with hints of beetroot and stewed plum.

Palate: The palate shows luscious cherry & berry fruit flavours balanced with good acidity and firm tannin structure. The wine finishes dry with lingering fruit cake flavours.

Food: Lamb shanks in red wine jus.

A particularly impressive example of this blend at any price, let alone this; vibrantly spicy notes run through the red and black fruits at the core of the palate, the tannins exacdy weighted. Partly a tribute to '06. Grenache/Shiraz/Merlot/Mataro.

A fragrant and expressive array of predominantly red fruits; good structure, fine tannins.

Fresh but not callow; a spray of red fruits and small berries; nice mouthfeel, clever winemaking.
