Massive wine with great potential to age very well. Big black olive/blackcurrant-like fruit characters and earthy/tarry elements. 5+

WINESTATE (2006 Vintage) says
Rich, powerful and intense shiraz, with aromas and flavours reminiscent of fruit-cake and chocolate with a dash of spice.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Powerful, rich and complex, and carries its alcohol without demur; has marked intensity to its blackberry, licorice and spice fruit, the tannins ripe, the oak incidental.

Nick Stock (2005 Vintage) says
The Dirtman is a classic Barossa two-play of Valley floor and Eden fruit. Lovely depth and ripeness, tarry regional accents, plum and berries. The palate is fitted neatly together with fine tannins and ample berry fruit flavour, musky fragrant oak turns toasty through the finish.

Malty chocolate nose with an ethereal minty lift. Lovely chocolaty richness on the red fruit palate. 5+
