Giesen Noble School Road Late Harvest White Blend

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (1999 Vintage) says
At the equivalent of less than $15 per half bottle, this Canterbury wine, typically blended from Riesling and Muller Thurgau, offers great value. The 1999 vintage is light gold, with a gentle bouquet of pears and honey. Light and sweet, with moderately intense flavours, it's less impressive than the concentrated, honeyish 1998, but attractive and well-balanced.

Michael Cooper (1998 Vintage) says
At the equivalent of less than $15 per standard half bottle, the 1998 vintage of this highly refined Canterbury wine offers great value. Based on Muller-Thurgau (60 per cent) and Riesling, it is enticingly scented and floral, with crisp, lemony, pure, slightly honied flavours in a beautifully delicate and harmonious style. The golden, honied 1997 is a more high-acid style that could be very long-lived, but lacks the ripeness and charm of the 1998.
