Gladstone Vineyard Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
Displaying a fairly restrained aromatic profile, the 2010 Gladstone Pinot Noir shows dark plum and cherry characters, dusted with five spice and showing hints of duck consomme, forest floor, mushroom broth and well-judged oak. Sprightly and shaped nicely in the mouth, with fine-grained tannins and excellent drive through to the finish.
Good Wine Guide 2013
Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The 2009 vintage was hand-picked in the Wariarapa and matured for 10 months in French oak casks (30 per cent new). Ruby-hued, it is mouthfilling, with strawberry and spice aromas and flavours, fresh and strong, a subtle oak influence and very good complexity. Savoury and supple, it builds well across the palate; drink now or cellar.
Buyer's Guide to New Zealand Wines
Nick Stock (2008 Vintage) says
Plenty of garrigue-like herbs and leafy aromas sit across mixed berry fruits and a layer of tarry savoury oak. The palate's nicely weighted, with fleshy dark-berry and red-plum flavour, fine tannins and nicely struck overall balance. Cherry-stone finish.
