Michael Cooper (2006 Vintage) says
Some earlier vintages, grown in the Dog Point vineyard, were outstanding, but the latest releases, grown at different sites in the Wairau Valley, are less striking. The 2006, harvested at 22-24 brix and lees-aged for four months in tanks, is a lightly scented and mouthfilling, fractionally sweet wine (4.5 grams/ litre of residual sugar) with ripe tropical-fruit flavours and a crisp, tight finish.Buyer's Guide to New Zealand Wines
