Those who think Orange in NSW is too cool for cab sav, think again. The region is more than capable of jagging a decent cab sav most years, and this blend is no exception. Made for Gordon Hills by Orange region cabernet maestro, Phil Kearny, it displays fragrant aromas of dark-berried fruits with a touch of tobacco on the nose. The palate is more medium-bodied with a ripe plummy centre, fine-grained tannins and a dry, decent length. It's drinking well now, and would match barbequed spare ribs perfectly.
A beautiful Bordeaux Blend. Aromatic, soft and luscious dark fruit flavours derived from perfectly ripened fruit. Fine tannins add structure. Complex long, clean finish. 25% new French oak. 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Cabernet Franc, 17% Merlot.
