Ray Jordan (2012 Vintage) says
Famous wine for many years when it really was the style. This is a restrained and finer version of those wines showing lovely flora fruit and a light citrus infused palate. The keen acid keeps it tight and refreshing to the finish. Excellent current drinking style if oak is not your bag.

Jeremy Oliver (2012 Vintage) says
Lively, simple but marginally sweet, with a light, faintly herbal aroma of melon and green apple skin before a fresh, confectionary palate of softness and moderate length.
The Australian Wine Annual 2014 Edition 2014
Jeremy Oliver (2010 Vintage) says
A fine unoaked chardonnay whose sweet aromas of peach, nectarine, grapefruit and melon reveal undertones of paw paw and creamy, leesy notes, it's fresh, juicy and vibrant. A long, soft and generous palate of juicy, mouthfilling fruit finishes soft and gentle with a touch of sweetness, and soft, tangy acids.

Ray Jordan (2010 Vintage) says
Plenty of lip-smacking unoaked chardonnay in here. Melon and citrus notes on the nose and a crisp fresh natural acid palate deriving all its flavour from that ripe rounded chardonnay fruit. Lingering finish. Best in the short term.
The West Australian Wine Guide 2012
Ray Jordan (2009 Vintage) says
A creamy melony unoaked style of Chardonnay. The little squeeze of citrus and the acid tidies up the flavoursome palate. Clean on the finish.

WINESTATE (2007 Vintage) says
A pleasant tropical fruit style thats fresh and sweet but not cloying. Good flavour length and intensity, with nicely balanced zesty acidity.
Winestate 20082009
James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
One of the right regions for unwooded chardonnay; clean melon and citrus flavours, with some length.
Australian Wine Companion 2008 2007
Peter Forrestal (2005 Vintage) says
One of Western Australia's cult wines - enormously popular in restaurants. It has rarely been as good as it was in 2005: clean, fresh, lively, with white peach and melon flavours and quite a dry finish. Drink well chilled and it'll be a pleasant, refreshing summer drink.
Quaff 2007 2006
James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Strong yellow-green; a full-bodied, rich, yellow peach retro style; gives the impression of skin contact. Gold medal '05 Gisborne International Chardonnay Challenge NZ and Sydney International Wine Competition.

Max Allen & Peter Forrestal (2004 Vintage) says
Goundrey is one of the more reliable of the larger Western Australia wineries, and this is a pretty serious, savoury, restrained style of unwooded chardonnay, with good citrus and melon flavour, and a dry, chalky finish.
