James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Fragrant citrus, passionfhiit and lime; brilliant clarity of flavour; light but insistent long palate. Gold WA Wine Show '08

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Is moving towards a long plateau of maturity; a faint hint of pyrazine on the bouquet, then a deep play of citrus and mineral on the palate.

Peter Forrestal (2005 Vintage) says
It'll be interesting to see how Goundrey comes out of the second takeover in a few years - the first by Vincor and the second by Constellation. In the meantime, it has some smart wines in its portfolio. This is my pick of its premium range - it's rich and concentrated with lime and lemon citrus flavours, a pleasant juiciness, and bold, zippy acidity.

Jeremy Oliver (2005 Vintage) says
Smoky, slightly reductive aromas of lime juice and minerals are lifted by a complex floral perfume. Long, taut and lean, its crystalline expression of vibrant citrusy fruit and reductive complexity overlies a chalky mineral texture and a crackly, almost brittle acidity at the finish. It's fresh, clean and racy.
Australian Wine Annual 2007 2006
James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Pale, bright straw-green; crisp mineral, slate, spice and passionfruit aromas; delicate, fresh and well-balanced palate.
Australian Wine Companion 2007 2006
Jeremy Oliver (2004 Vintage) says
Juicy, forward and generous, this slightly grassy riesling has a musky herbal scent of pear and apple, stonefruit and citrus, while its concentrated palate of tinned tropical fruit flavours culminates in a slightly green-edged finish.

Ken Gargett (2004 Vintage) says
Here is some breaking news for all chardonnay-sipping, outdoor cafe, primary-colour-wearing relics from the '90s. Goundrey actually makes wines other than their ubiquitous unwooded chardonnay (if Eddie McGuire was a wine, it would be that one). No wood in this riesling either, just oodles of crisp, clean minerally flavourÑand I guarantee it will work better with food. Starr a trend.
Don't Buy Wine Without Me 2006 2006
Jeremy Oliver (2003 Vintage) says
A delicate perfume of lemon blossom, lemon meringue, apple and pear, before an intense, forward palate that becomes long, fine and austere. Very refreshing, but would have been more so were it not for a distinct note of bound sulphide at the finish.
Australian Wine Annual 2005 2004
James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Elegant, flowery but complex; apple, mineral and herb; a long dry finish; some toasty notes starting to appear.
Australian Wine Companion 2005 2004
Ray Jordan (2003 Vintage) says
Amazing the difference between this and the standard Riesling. Beautifully crisp and lean Riesling with a fine acid and a fine mineral pebbly character. The flavours just cruise across the palate. Lovely wine and will continue to improve
Ray Jordan's 2004 WA Wine Guide 2004
James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Light green-yellow; the bouquet is still relatively reserved and closed, with mineral/slate characters. The palate confounds the bouquet, with surprising depth and development; lime/kerosene flavours in traditional style, with good fruit weight
