Grand Sud Chardonnay (1000ml)

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Translated, Grand Sud means 'Big south', and why not! It comes in a bloody big bottle from the south of France! It's a fruity, 'no nonsense' sort of wine that doesn't have anything fancy like oak in it. Smells of lemons, honeysuckle and dairy lift from the glass, then the palate chimes in with more citrus and almost tropical flavours, tangy acidity, and a fresh fruit finish. Chill it down and hook into some fish and chips.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Pleasant, limpid and brilliant body with golden glints.

Nose: Very expressive, it gives off a wide variety of aromas, including citrus, white peach, acacia flowers and buttery notes.

Palate: The first palate is fresh and harmonious developing onto lots of volume supported by flavours ranging from lemon zest to exotic fruits. The finish is wonderfully long.

Food: This wine is the ideal accompaniment to fish, poultry and some cheeses.
